    Supporting both HDTV and NTSC.....

The HDK-790 and HDL-79 HDTV ful'-digital cameras, featuring 2/3" 2,000,000-pixel FIT CCDs, are tailored to the existing broadcasting schemes, with superb picture quality. A combination of Ikegami's studio camera and high-definition television technology know-how and newly developed digital process ICs results in unprecedented high image quality and exceptional reliability. By integrating a down-converter and up-converter into the CCU, the HDK-790 and HDL-79 support HDTV and NTSC broadcasting.

    Features

    Full-Digital

The camera section employs newly developed digital process ICs. All the video processing is digitized with 10-bit AID conversion and up to 16 bits of internal processing (quantization). Because nonlinear processing such as gamma correction is performed digitally, consistently high image quality and reliability are achieved. For DTL circuitry , not only 2H delay but also the correction signal is processed digitally, thereby ensuring noise-free detail enhancement with gripping picture quality. 2/3" 2,000,000-pixel CCDs

2/3" 2,000,000-pixel FIT CCD image sensors are employed to achieve higher image quality than existing broadcasting cameras for both HDTV and NTSC. The camera body is compact, comparable to the existing NTSC cameras. Multiuse (HDTV/NTSC)

By integrating a down-converter and up-converter into its CCU (Camera Control Unit), the HDK-790 and HDL-79 provide Video, Genlock, RET for both HDTV and NTSC formats. Component Serial Digital Transmission

Component serial digital transmission enables fibet-optic transmission of up to 3,000 meters utilizing a hybrid fiber/copper camera cable. Because of non-compressed pigital transmission, high-quality video can be transmitted with Ininimal degradation of image quality. Existing Systems and Peripherals Can Be Used

Because of the 2/3" CCDs, conventional camera lenses, as well as HD lenses, can be used. The HDK-790 and HDL-79can also be connected directly to various control panels of Ikegami's HK Series, so it can be operated in a similar manner to conventional NTSC cameras. Newly Developed VF

A newly developed 7" color viewfinder is available as an option for the The HDL-79 comes standard developed 2" B/W viewfinder a high-resolution quick-start aspect ratio of 16:9. Compact Design

The HDL-79 is built in a lower-profile compact body. The well balanced and low center-of -gravity aid the camera operator in portable applications. High-Performance CCU

The CCU-790 incorporate digital DTL functions to enhance image quality. Variable DTL boost frequency and Skin DTL are available. In addition, because DTL functions are provided separately for HDTV and NTSC signals, DTL can be controlled independently. So optimum picture quality is realized for each brodcasting format. SE-79 System Expander

The SE-79 is a system expander that enables a 7" viewfinder to be mounted on the HDL-79, thereby extending its operating flexibility. Its structure, made up of an adapter (SE section) and a lens support, facilitates mounting a studio camera lens. For field operations, the overall size with the lens support is very small. The SE-79 is attached to the camera by direct connection (without cables), so it is rugged and easily reconfigured between studio and portable configurations.
