Comments: This unit is in great shape. The hard drives were recently replaced by grass valley technicians as hard drives only last a few years when used regularly. The new drives are 10,000 rpm raptors and handle HD great. This service was performed by Grass Valley and the product is in a better state of performance than when originally bought.
The Grass Valley Turbo-R iDDR is a digital disk recorder designed to perform a wide variety of VTR functions, while being cost-effective and user-friendly. The Turbo records video directly to memory or Iomega REV disks, using MPEG-2 compression technology. Its variety of input options allows quick and easy retrieval of project footage at the touch of a button. Whether the application is live event work or post production, the deck will significantly increase overall efficiency, allowing producers to focus more on the creative process.
The Turbo-R iDDR can be used to output both SD and HD content simultaneously as well as having full connectivity to external media storage devices. All of these features translate into a highly versatile VTR perfect for high-end studios, live events and editing workstations.
High Storage Capacity
The Turbo is capable of storing a large amount data, translating in long run-times. At its highest quality, the deck will store up to 10 hours. If extended run-time is necessary, quality can be slightly reduced, allowing up to 40 hours!
Iomega REV Drive Built-In
REV disks are easily swapped out and offer unlimited rewritability. The disks can fulfill many different types of media needs with the ability to store over 2 hours of video! This added benefit makes it much easier to transfer data from external devices to the Turbo system.
Software Application Suite
Manipulating media couldn't be easier with the provided software. Edit, manage, and arrange files however is needed. Create playlists to easily sort and playback footage on the fly.
Multiple Output Functions
The Turbo can output footage to 2 monitors simultaneously in either standard or high definition without a hitch, making the deck ideal for live events production where multiple streams of video are required.
Media Exchange from Other Applications
The Turbo iDDR can exchange files from a wide variety of sources, including AVI, Quicktime, Windows Media, WMV HD, MPEG-2 and HDV.
Network Ready
The deck can be integrated directly over high speed Ethernet connection, featuring Gigabit Ethernet.
